The handy plastic grocery bag Recycle and re-use

Hints on reusing bags

Adults can use a plastic bag as a rain hat Ė when you need to go out in the rain and you donít want your hair wet.

Large plastic bags can be used as a raincoat when you cut a hole for your head to fit through the hole.

If you live in an area that is prone to sleet, snow and freezing, you can use plastic bags to cover your rear view mirrors so that you donít have to scrape them off in the morning when you want to get going fast.

Along the same lines of sleet and snow, placing a plastic bag over your car door handles will prevent the ice from getting in the door lock so you can get in your car when you need to.

If you have a broken window in your car a bit of duct tape and a plastic bag cut in half will fit the bill so you can cover that window when it is raining and you donít have the time to get your window fixed yet.

Working on crafts with beads is so much fun Ė now you can store your beads and string pieces in plastic bags and always know that your project will be ready and waiting for you.

If you like to knit, store your knitting in a plastic bag so that you can pick it up and work on it without ever having to worry about your yard falling apart or becoming tangled.

Like to sew but are always losing pieces to your patterns? Keep all of your sewing patterns pieces together in a plastic bag that you can easily store by hanging it over a hanger.

Have you been working in the garden, on the farm, on the car and you are all dirty? You can use the largest of plastic bags to sit on in your vehicle or in your home so you donít run the risk of staining the upholstery.

Want to keep your vehicle looking good as new but donít have floor mats? Put a few large plastic bags on the floor to keep your feet on until you have the change to get a few floor mats.

If you are looking to give your walls a sponge painted look, try this: crumple up a plastic bag and dip it in the paint and then apply to the walls. This gives you a unique colorful look for your walls that you will just love.

Use your plastic bags to hold those pictures that you keep meaning to put into that photo albums so they are kept all in one place.
